Singapore Airlines has expanded its online shopping platform, KrisShop, to Australia, giving local KrisFlyer members a new way to earn KrisFlyer miles and work towards elite status.
Launching with local Australian fulfilment, the platform offers a range of products from brands including Dyson, Bose, Samsung, Smeg, Pandora and Antler. Australian shoppers also benefit from local fulfilment, faster shipping and the ability to pay with cash, KrisFlyer miles or a combination of both.
Earn up to 4 KrisFlyer miles per dollar
All KrisFlyer members earn 1.5 KrisFlyer miles per A$1 spent on eligible purchases. Those who sign up for the free KrisShopper program receive a boost to 2 miles per A$1, with even higher earn rates available as annual spending increases:
- KrisFlyer member (not a KrisShopper member): 1.5 miles per A$1
- KrisShopper member (free tier): 2 miles per A$1
- KrisShopper Insider: 2.5 miles per A$1 (A$5,000 annual spend to reach)
- KrisShopper Icon: 3 miles per A$1 (A$10,000 annual spend to reach)
- KrisShopper Ambassador: 4 miles per A$1 (A$15,000 annual spend to reach)

You can redeem KrisFlyer miles on purchases, with 100 KrisFlyer miles worth A$1 at checkout. Of course, we strongly recommend saving your KrisFlyer miles for award flights, as you’ll get far better value.
For example, a Saver Award from Perth to Southeast Asia via Singapore in Business Class costs 44,500 miles plus fees and taxes. The same number of miles used on KrisShop is worth only $440, in comparison.
But as KrisFlyer miles have a fixed expiry, you might find it easier to use up smaller, expiring balances with KrisShop. Getting some value is better than letting them go to waste.
Earn KrisFlyer elite status on the ground
Perhaps the more interesting angle for frequent flyers is the ability to earn Non-Flight Elite Miles through everyday shopping.
KrisFlyer members will earn 1 Elite Mile for every A$1 spent on eligible KrisShop purchases. These Elite Miles count towards attaining or retaining KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Elite Gold status. This broadly mirrors the Singaporean earn rates. There is a limit of:
- 5,000 Non-Flight Elite Miles to count towards earning or retaining KrisFlyer Elite Silver
- 10,000 Non-Flight Elite Miles to count towards earning or retaining KrisFlyer Elite Gold
Members can also earn Non-Flight PPS Value at a rate of 1 PPS Value for every A$3 spent, helping PPS Club members qualify without relying solely on flights. There is a limit of 2,500 to 5,000 Non-Flight PPS Value towards your earn or retain goals, which you can check in the T&Cs.

The Westpac Altitude Rewards Black has up to 200,000 Altitude Points plus a reduced first year annual card fee on offer for new cardholders, the points can be redeemed for up to $950 in e-gift cards or transferred to Velocity Frequent Flyer, KrisFlyer or Cathay miles at a 3:1 ratio. The card offers high points earn rates plus ongoing benefits, including Priority Pass lounge invites.
Summing up
While KrisShop won’t replace flying as the primary way to earn elite status, it does give Australian members another avenue to top up their Elite Miles throughout the year.
In terms of pricing, most products seem broadly aligned with the local RRP in Australia. KrisShop occasionally runs sales that can make the listings even more competitive, especially when you factor in the bonus KrisFlyer miles. Deliveries are facilitated by local partners, such as Harvey Norman Commercial.
If you have a KrisShop gift voucher (such as one obtained onboard), these can be used on the Australian store. However, as these vouchers are issued in SGD, their value will be converted to AUD at the ‘prevailing rate’ at the time of purchase. Pre-ordering duty-free direct to your seat on Singapore Airlines or Scoot flights still needs to be done on the Singaporean version of KrisShop.
Singapore Airlines says Australia is the first international market to receive a dedicated KrisShop website, reflecting the importance of the local KrisFlyer membership base. It’s a welcome expansion of the KrisFlyer ecosystem on the ground, going hand in hand with Kris+ and Pelago.
