American Express is deepening its partnership with Accor Live Limitless (ALL) across Australia and New Zealand, introducing a new points transfer option from Amex Membership Rewards.
Members can now convert points at a 5-to-1 rate with a minimum transfer of 2,500 Membership Rewards points to 500 ALL points. The partner page on the Amex website indicates that it may take up to 48 hours for the points to transfer across.

Accor gift cards or points transfer?
ALL points have a fixed value of 2,000 points = €40 (around A$65). That means that you would need to transfer 10,000 Membership Rewards points to reach that €40 threshold, giving each Membership Reward point a value of around 0.65 cents (AUD) each when used for hotel stays via Accor.
That’s better value than swapping Membership Rewards points for Accor gift cards, which yields an average of 0.5 cents per point. While you might still prefer to save up your Membership Rewards points for flight rewards, the ability to convert points to Accor could be useful if you were in need of a top-up, for example.

This benefit comes in addition to the complimentary ALL Accor+ Explorer benefits currently available to American Express Centurion and Platinum Card Members.
Nick Alexander, the Vice President of Cobrand, Loyalty and Partnerships for American Express Australia and New Zealand, said the addition of the benefit will provide more ways for eligible card members to turn their rewards into travel experiences.
“Whether it’s using points to cover the cost of a holiday or accessing elevated experiences like room upgrades and hotel dining, our Australian and New Zealand Card Members now have more choice in how they’re rewarded.”
American Express Platinum members currently receive a complimentary ALL Accor+ Explorer membership, which grants automatic Gold status, amongst other perks. Amex’s top-tier Centurion members enjoy a step-up with complimentary Accor Platinum status each year.
