Qantas Frequent Flyer members can put their points towards a new airline, with Qantas striking up a partnership with the colourful, Frankfurt-based Condor.
As a leisure carrier predominantly, Condor flies to more than 70 popular destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. However, it doesn’t operate direct flights to Australia, so you’ll need to connect to Condor through another hub, such as Bangkok, New York or Johannesburg.
You will be able to travel on Condor’s A330neo aircraft in Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy cabins using your Qantas Points. The modern aircraft features 30 lie-flat Business Class seats, which you’ll find on all of Condor’s long-haul flights.
The addition of Condor as a partner will increase Qantas’ Frequent Flyer Program to more than 30 airline partners and 1,300 destinations worldwide. Qantas Loyalty and Customer CEO, Andrew Glance, says the partnership will help deliver more choice and value for members.
“Adding a world-class carrier like Condor only strengthens our program and global footprint even further, as our members map out their travel for the year ahead,” he said.
Booking a Condor Reward Seat
Condor sits in the Qantas Partner Classic Flight Rewards Table. You can technically combine these flights with Qantas flights, but the points cost will be much higher as Qantas sits on a different table. Condor isn’t a oneworld partner (yet), so you can’t add these flights to a oneworld Classic Flight Reward trip.

You can find Reward seat availability through the Qantas website. However, as always, reward seats are limited. For example, we can see Business Class availability from Johannesburg to Frankfurt, but only Premium Economy out of Bangkok at the time of writing.
Speaking of which, Condor Premium Economy uses the same 2-4-2 Economy seating, but with extra legroom and amenities. If you’re after an actual, wider Premium Economy seat, then this product isn’t for you. With the small difference in points between Premium Economy and Business Class, the latter is the better choice by far.
