Membership Rewards Redemption Options

Membership Rewards Ascent Premium points earned with the American Express Platinum Business Card are arguably the most valuable and flexible points in the market.

The Platinum Business card earns an impressive up to 2.25 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on eligible purchases and those points can be redeemed with a huge range of partners.

There are three options when it comes to redeeming points.

You can choose to pay with points, redeem your points for gift cards, as a credit back to your account or to transfer your points to a range of hotel and airline partners.

Gift card redemptions start at 2,000 points for a $10 gift card and some of the many partners include Coles Group & Myer, Bunnings, Amazon, BP and Flight Centre.

If you are simply looking to redeem your rewards for your business or help improve your cash flow, you may consider using points for purchases instead through ‘Select + Pay with Points‘.

This option allows you to cover the cost of any eligible purchases you have bought on your Platinum Business card by using Membership Rewards points.

The minimum redemption requirement is 1,000 points and redemptions can be made either online or via the American Express app.

That debit on your account for some new business supplies could be converted into a credit within 72 hours if you have a sufficient points balance.

For business and personal travellers, there is also the option to transfer Membership Rewards points to a range of hotel and airline partners, including Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, Emirates Skywards and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer.

Using points with these partners could see you score a free hotel stay or be flying business class next time you need to travel.

You can also use points to directly help offset the cost of travel booked through American Express Travel.
