IHG 25% off and bonus points for new app downloads

Until 3 December, IHG One Rewards members can enjoy 25% off all hotel and resort bookings, worldwide. The offer is initially app-only on 18 and 19 November 2024. From 20 November to 3 December 2024, it becomes available across all booking channels. Note that the discount applies on the best-available flexible rate.

Meanwhile, if you’ve never downloaded the IHG app before, now’s the time. Simply sign up (if you’re not already a member), download the IHG app and login with your registered details (member number or email) to earn 500 bonus points.

IHG Gold Elite status via Virgin Business Flyer

IHG Business Edge usually offers Silver Elite status to new members after their first stay. But for a limited time, members who sign up for IHG Business Edge via their Virgin Australia Business Flyer account will receive an upgrade to Gold Elite status instead after their first stay.

Gold Elite status includes late check-out of 2pm (subject to availability), 40% more points when you travel yourself, and rollover of excess elite nights to the following year.

Although IHG uses dynamic pricing, IHG points are generally a good way to redeem reward rooms, as there are no additional fees to pay in most cases. Some rooms start from 10,000 points a night, though most mid-range hotels will cost around 20-30,000 points a night.
