Top-tier hotel status is normally a reward reserved for true road warriors. But the GHA DISCOVERY program is different, where an elite Titanium card can be yours after just three stays.
This isn’t a short-term shortcut: it’s a year-round feature of GHA DISCOVERY. By being clever with how you book and where you stay, the reward of Titanium status is waiting for you!
Benefits of GHA DISCOVERY Titanium status
So what’s the fuss about GHA DISCOVERY’s Titanium tier? It’s your ticket to elite benefits at hundreds of hotels worldwide, including many in Australia.
As a GHA Titanium member, you can look forward to:
- Room upgrades to the second-next category (a ‘double upgrade’), subject to availability.
- Early check-in from 11am, subject to availability.
- Late check-out until 4pm, again subject to availability.
- A welcome amenity with every stay, inspired by the local area.
- Gift Titanium status to a friend or family member.
- Get 7% of what you pay at hotels back in DISCOVERY Dollars to spend again on future trips. In dollar terms, that earn rate is 75% higher than entry-level members.
How to earn GHA DISCOVERY Titanium
Titanium status in the GHA DISCOVERY program can be yours by hitting just one of the following targets:
- Stay 30 nights in a calendar year at GHA properties.
- Spend US$15,000 in a calendar year with GHA hotels.
- Stay with just three GHA brands during a calendar year.
That last target is the real status shortcut for GHA DISCOVERY Titanium. And better yet, every stay counts: even if it’s just one night. Yes, you really could go from entry-level status to the heights of Titanium after just three check-ins!
Some keen travellers may decide to ‘hotel hop’ within the same city to reach that goal on a single trip, by changing hotels (and brands) each day. But of course, with hotels across Australia, it’s easy enough to hit that target just by savvily booking a different brand each time you travel.
Which GHA brands are in Australia?
Of GHA’s 34 brands, four have a presence in Australia:
- Pan Pacific
This means you could complete the ‘three brand’ goal for GHA DISCOVERY Titanium without any international travel!
You’ll find Avani properties in Melbourne, Adelaide and the Gold Coast (Broadbeach). PARKROYAL has four locations across Sydney and Melbourne, including the PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport hotel.
Pan Pacific, GHA’s signature luxury brand, has hotels in Melbourne and Perth. Oaks has a much broader portfolio of Australian properties. You’ll find a full list on the GHA DISCOVERY website, where you can also book your stay.
Melbourne is the real ‘sweet spot’ for this challenge, with all four brands having properties in the city.
Of course, regular visitors to Sydney, Adelaide and the Gold Coast could cover at least two brands in one city. That’d leave just one more brand to stay within another city.
Unlike other top-tier hotel cards, GHA DISCOVERY Titanium is surprisingly easy to unlock. It just takes a little savvy and some forward planning, but even infrequent travellers can ascend the status ladder quickly.
Better yet, after staying with your second brand, you’ll be bumped straight to GHA DISCOVERY Platinum. Then, tick off brand three, and you’ll ascend to Titanium.
Reaching the ‘three brands’ goal can be even easier if you have international travel planned. GHA counts properties across more than 85 countries among its portfolio, so you’re sure to find somewhere to stay: and potentially, a new brand to experience each time.
