Velocity Frequent Flyer members can now earn points on movie tickets with Event Cinemas and Village Cinemas. To celebrate the partnership, members can enjoy limited-time offers, including 1,000 bonus Velocity Points on their first eligible visit. You’ll also enjoy a free small popcorn with every eligible Velocity movie ticket purchased until 15 July 2026.
When buying movie tickets and Candy Bar favourites, members will earn 1 Velocity Point for every $1 spent. If travel really isn’t on your radar, and can also redeem points instantly using Points + Pay.
How to earn and redeem points with the partnership
- Log into your Velocity account through the app or website and click on the Event Cinema or Village Cinema logo through the partners page.
- Log into your Cinebuzz or Vrewards account before booking, once redirected.
- Select your cinema, session time and Velocity ticket.
- Finalise your purchase.
The Velocity Points bonus points can also be earned on half-price tickets on Tuesdays.

To be eligible for these deals and rewards, make sure you’re a Velocity Frequent Flyer member and a Cinebuzz or Vrewards member.
