With unleaded petrol prices spiking over $2 per litre and diesel hovering over $3 per litre, you might be feeling the pinch. Thankfully, there are still numerous offers to help save money. You can also stack offers with your Flybuys or Everyday Rewards account to increase your discount or earn more points on top.
Here are some current offers to help you save at the pump.
Shell/Reddy Express offers (Flybuys points)
You’ll earn 1 Flybuys point per $2 you spend on fuel and in-store purchases at Shell/Reddy Express.
1. 10c off per litre with the AFL

Over the Gather Round weekend, the AFL has announced a 10-cent-per-litre discount at participating Shell/Reddy Express petrol stations. The offer is valid from Wednesday, 8 April to Monday, 13 April.
Simply download the free AFL Live app, click on the Shell discount banner, and fill out your details for a discount barcode.
Each barcode can be used only once per day, and a new one will be available at 9 am the next day. Outside this promotion period, a 4-cent-per-litre discount is normally available through the AFL Live app.
2. 10c off per litre with in-store spend

If you have some groceries or snacks in mind, spending $20 in-store can also unlock 10 cents off per litre. This could range from milk and bread to Sodastream refills or ice.
3. 4c off or 8 bonus points per litre with Coles

This is the standard Coles offer, where you can earn a docket by spending $30 or more in-store. You can choose from 4c off per litre or 8 bonus Flybuys points per litre. We’ve run the numbers, and choosing the bonus points is actually a better deal if you can use them for reward flights.
EG Ampol and Ampol Foodary (Everyday Rewards points)
You’ll earn 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 you spend on fuel at participating EG/Ampol and Ampol Foodary stations.
1. Up to 4c off per litre with Origin Energy

Have Origin Energy as your energy provider? Receive a discount of 4c per litre at participating EG locations if you use the voucher by itself, or get a discount of 2c per litre if you combine this voucher with a further 4c off voucher from Woolworths.
2. Up to 5c off per litre with RACV

If you are an RACV customer, you can receive 5 cents off a litre at participating EG Ampol stores when combined with a minimum $5 in-store purchase, which further unlocks a 4c/L discount (total of 9c per litre).
Or, combine the RACV voucher with a Woolworths fuel voucher to unlock 2 cents off per litre instead. There’s a 15-minute timer to redeem the voucher, so only activate the offer when you’re ready to pay.
3. 4c off per litre with in-store spend

Simply spend $5 or more in-store at participating EG Ampol locations to unlock a further 4c/L discount on fuel. This must be done in the same transaction, and the offer can be stacked with one of the vouchers above.
4. Earn cashback on Ampol gift cards through ShopBack

When you purchase an Ampol gift card through ShopBack, you can currently receive 2.5% cashback on the purchase. You can use the gift card at any Ampol site for fuel or in-store purchases, including with the vouchers mentioned on this page. Cashback has reached as high as 6% in the past, so check regularly.
5. 4c off per litre with Woolworths

This is the standard Woolworths offer, where you can earn a docket by spending $30 or more in-store. You’ll get 4 cents off per litre, and this can be stacked with most of the offers above.
7-Eleven (Velocity Points)
You’ll earn 2 Velocity Points per litre on premium fuel,1 point per litre on regular fuel, and 2 points per $1 spent on eligible in-store purchases.
1. 6c off per litre with Linkt

Linkt Rewards customers can save 6c per litre at 7-Eleven fuel stations around Australia. However, this offer doesn’t stack with the Fuel Lock or any other 7-Eleven app offer, so use it on its own.
2. Save money with fuel lock

While not a fixed deal per se, 7-Eleven customers can lock in a lower fuel price from their nearest five stores (up to 25c/L savings).
BP (Qantas Points)
Earn up to 2 Qantas Points per litre and 1 point per $1 spent on eligible in-store products.
1. 4c off per litre with AGL

AGL residential customers can save 4c per litre at BP fuel stations around Australia. This offer works for 120L per use, and you can redeem it up to three times a week.
2. 8c off per litre with selected in-store purchases

BP customers who purchase at least two eligible items (currently including Cool Ridge 750ml, Monster 500ml, Cadbury King Bars 58-85g, Twisties & Doritos Minis 40-45g) will enjoy 8c off per litre. The T&Cs say this can’t be combined with any other fuel discount offer.
Summing Up
If you’re an Everyday Rewards or Flybuys customer, remember to scan your rewards card at participating petrol stations. This makes sure you can still rack up points on your reward cards when filling up. Also, make sure to check your receipts for bonus offers from your shop.
You can also stack shop rewards with select promotions running at the same time. Always check the terms to confirm that stacking is allowed, as some combinations are permitted and others are a no-go.
