From today, Velocity Frequent Flyer members will be able to earn Velocity Points through the delivery platform, DoorDash. Whether it’s food or groceries, customers will start to earn 1 Velocity Point per dollar spent across all orders within Australia.

It’s the first comprehensive tie-up between Velocity and a food delivery company, although members were previously able to indirectly earn points at Menulog via the Velocity e-Store. Qantas Frequent Flyer has a partnership with Uber, but only UberOne members can earn Qantas Points on orders for a limited time.

To earn Velocity Points when ordering with DoorDash, you must link your Velocity Frequent Flyer account. Simply download the DoorDash app, log in or create a new account, and ensure you add your Velocity Frequent Flyer number when prompted.

Velocity CEO, Nick Rohrlach, says the partnership with DoorDash is a ‘powerful way’ to reach rewards sooner.

“Velocity is committed to getting members to rewards faster — whether it’s flights, upgrades, or everyday redemptions through our Velocity Rewards Store and Myer on a variety of products.”

Bonus: Earn 2,000 Velocity Points with DoorDash

Until 12 August 2025, new and existing users can earn 2,000 bonus Velocity Points when linking their Velocity Frequent Flyer account and placing an eligible order. You’ll receive the bonus points within three business days.

And if you want to double-dip on rewards when you next order, you can use a credit card that earns Velocity Points as your payment method in the DoorDash app.

Can’t find the page to link your accounts on the app? Try this page on the DoorDash website.

Point Hacks pro tip: While DoorDash gift cards have previously been on offer at Coles with 20x bonus Flybuys points, the Velocity T&Cs state that any amounts paid with a gift card will not be eligible to earn Velocity Points. Keep that in mind if you have existing credit to use.
