Sitting on a few too many points in your Marriott Bonvoy account? If you’re a big fan of Formula One, you could turn those unused Bonvoy points into a money-can’t-buy Paddock Club experience at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.
Through Marriott Bonvoy Moments, Bonvoy members can bid on packages for practice day or qualifying day at the Grand Prix. This includes access to a private lounge in the Paddock, as well as an overnight stay at The Ritz-Carlton in Melbourne.
The Paddock Club Silver Arrows Lounge is a partnership between The Ritz-Carlton (a Marriott Bonvoy brand) and Mercedes-AMG. ‘We wanted to combine the modern luxury of Mercedes-Benz with the elegance of The Ritz-Carlton,’ says Sam O’Brien, head of design for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
Paddock Club experience for Bonvoy members
Successful bidders through Marriott Bonvoy Moments start with access to the Silver Arrows Lounge. Here, those on the inside can enjoy complimentary food and drinks. That’s paired with ‘VIP seating’ by the track. And, that overnight stay at The Ritz-Carlton.
Rather than having fixed redemption rates, Marriott Bonvoy is currently running a bidding system for its Paddock Club experiences. Packages are available on practice day and qualifying day. Naturally, the latter is currently attracting higher points bids.

On practice day, three pairs of tickets are currently up for grabs. Bids are accepted separately on each pair – so you need to be a little strategic in choosing which set to bid for, even though the trio are identical. At the time of writing, bids range from 190,000 to 202,500 Marriott Bonvoy points. That’s effectively 95,000 to 101,250 points per person, given each lucky auction winner receives two tickets.
For qualifying day, another three pairs of tickets are up for grabs. Maximum bids are currently sitting between 220,500 and 252,500 Marriott Bonvoy points. Inclusions are the same on both days. Bids for both experiences close on 6 March 2025.
As for whether that’s good value, it currently costs 92,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to book a night in a standard room at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne during Grand Prix week. In a way, bidders are effectively offering 100,000 to 150,000 points more for a booking that includes the same room plus the experience at the Formula One.
