As Qatar Airways celebrates its 25th anniversary, the airline is rolling out a suite of deals to woo travellers. Among them, sharply-priced flights, discounts on seating upgrades, savings on hotels, and more.
But don’t delay! These offers will only last for a week. If you’ve been thinking about booking a journey to Europe or Africa, right now could be the best time.
Deal: Save big on Qatar Airways flights to Europe and Africa
Expiry: Book by 18 January 2022, fly before 31 October 2022 (blackout dates apply).
As international travel returns to the minds of many Australians, Qatar Airways‘ latest deals are tough to resist.
In Economy Class, return flights to Africa start from $1,269 per person (Adelaide to Johannesburg). To Europe, secure your seat from $1,339 (Perth to Amsterdam). Up the front in Business Class, fly return from $5,799 (Perth to Zurich).
Sale flights are available from Qatar Airways‘ five Australian destinations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. From each city, here are the best prices you’ll find to Europe.
|Departure city / best return price||Economy Class to Europe||Business Class to Europe|
While availability may vary from flight to flight, the prices above are generally available when you depart Australia between the following dates:
- 15 January – 29 March 2022
- 17 April – 22 June 2022
- 13 July – 14 September 2022
- 1-27 October 2022
You won’t find these prices available when returning to Australia during the following dates:

Deal: Save up to 25% on Preferred Seating, extra baggage with Qatar Airways
Expiry: Purchase and pay for these ancillaries by 18 January 2022.
Booking Economy Class but fancy a seat in a better location? Upgrade to a ‘Preferred Seat’ during this deal and save 25% on the asking price.
On Qatar Airways, Preferred Seats don’t offer extra legroom. They’re instead at the very front of Economy Class. On the Airbus A380, all Economy Class seats at the rear of the upper deck also fall into this category.
Pricing varies from flight to flight, although Preferred Seats normally come at a charge on all but the highest-cost Comfort fare types.
A discount of up to 25% is also available when purchasing extra baggage via the Qatar Airways website, by the date above.
Deal: Join Qatar Airways Privilege Club and pocket 2,500 bonus Qmiles
Expiry: Join online by 18 January 2022.
If you’re not already a member of Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club program, there’s never been a better time to sign up.
Join for free, enter the code FLYQR22 during the application process, and you’ll grab an instant 2,500 bonus Qmiles.
Qmiles are Qatar Airways’ version of frequent flyer points. These can be used towards flight bookings and upgrades, along with the many other ways you can usually spend frequent flyer points.
It’s worth noting that Qatar Airways is also a member of the oneworld Alliance. This means travellers could instead earn and spend Qantas Points on Qatar Airways flights. Privilege Club is simply a different option, that can have unique advantages for those regularly travelling to Qatar and beyond.
Deal: Save up to 25% on hotels at Booking.com
Expiry: Book by 18 January 2022.
Once your great-value Qatar Airways flights are locked in, secure a deal on your hotel as well.
Make a reservation through Booking.com [this link earns you Qatar Airways Qmiles], enter the promo code QR2022, and save up to 25% on that accommodation bill.
These discounts are reflected during the booking process – the price you see is the price you pay.
With savings to be had on flights, better-positioned seats and even accommodation, Qatar Airways’ latest deals are worth considering.
Although fare prices will differ between city pairs and travel dates, overall, these offers are highly competitive. It’s not every day we see cash fares to Europe around the $6,000 mark! If you are flying on dollars rather than points, Qatar Airways’ Business Class is a great way to fly – especially when booking the airline’s Qsuites.
