Emirates brings Premium Economy to Brisbane
The move follows Emirates upgrading Brisbane to double-daily Airbus A380 flights.

What we'll be covering
In a win for Queensland-based flyers, Emirates is bringing its Premium Economy cabin to Brisbane. For now, Emirates’ newest experience will appear on three return flights per week between Brisbane and Dubai. The services to book are EK434 and EK435, both operated by the Airbus A380.
On EK434 from Dubai to Brisbane, the change kicks in from 1 February 2025. Premium Economy then becomes available when these flights depart Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. For those bound from Brisbane to the UAE, Premium Economy makes an appearance on EK435 from 2 February 2025. The days to book there will be Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Emirates continues to run double daily return flights between Brisbane and Dubai. All of these are now served by the Airbus A380. However, the remaining flights will retain a three-class layout for now, with First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.
Emirates joins a small list of airlines offering Premium Economy on westbound flights from Brisbane. Alternatives include Cathay Pacific, China Airlines and China Eastern. However, with Singapore Airlines no longer offering Premium Economy between Brisbane and Singapore, Emirates’ offering will have strong appeal for travellers bound for Europe.
The Emirates Airbus A380 Premium Economy experience
Brisbane will be Emirates’ third port to offer Premium Economy from Australia. The seat also appears on all of Emirates’ double-daily flights from Sydney to Dubai, along with its daily departures from Sydney to Christchurch.
You can also secure Premium Economy on the airline’s double-daily Airbus A380 services between Melbourne and Dubai. This will expand to also cover the carriers’ third daily return service from 30 March 2025. That third flight is a Boeing 777 service operated with one of Emirates’ newly refitted aircraft. It replaces the outgoing Melbourne-Singapore-Dubai ‘milk run’ which uses the previous generation of Emirates’ Boeing 777 seats.
For Brisbane, though, the Airbus A380 sports 56 Premium Economy seats. These come in a 2-4-2 layout, meaning that passengers are only ever one seat from an aisle. Seats are kitted out in Champagne-coloured leather, offering a generous recline, leg rest and separate footrest.

As Emirates continues with its extensive rollout of Premium Economy, it’s likely that more Brisbane flights could see the new seats in the future. For now, though, the airline hasn’t dropped any hints on further expansion from Brisbane. Emirates also offers Premium Economy to London, Vienna and Riyadh, among other destinations.
