What is Travel Booking?
Travel Booking is provided by Hopper and is available via the CommBank app or NetBank. The platform allows customers with an eligible card to browse and book flights, hotels, and car rentals in one place².
If you’re a CommBank Yello customer, there’s an extra layer of value. Depending on your CommBank Yello tier, you can earn travel credits on eligible bookings. That’s right – CommBank Yello Plus, Gold and Diamond customers can enjoy up to 10% back in travel credits¹!

Who can use Travel Booking?
If you already bank with CommBank and have an eligible card, you’re likely ready to go. Have an Awards credit card? You can also redeem your CommBank Award points to offset some of your Travel Booking costs and earn even more rewards with future bookings.

Travel credits usually appear in your Travel Booking wallet within a week of booking and are valid for two years. That’s plenty of time to use them up, as long as you continue to hold an eligible CommBank account.

1. Price Prediction
Travel Booking brings a few handy tools to the table, including an AI-powered Price Prediction Tool that predicts when it may be the right time to book. Lock it in straight away if you get a good price. Or add a flight to your ‘Watched Trips’ list, and Travel Booking will send an email to notify you when it’s the best time to book.

2. Auto Price Drop and Best Price Guarantee
Did you book a flight that was recommended as a ‘Great price’ by Travel Booking? If the airfare drops within 10 days after you book, you could be eligible for a travel credit of the difference, up to $50. The best part is that this credit will be automatically added so you don’t have to lift a finger.
There’s also a Best Price Guarantee that will credit you the difference if you find the same booked trip cheaper elsewhere within 24 hours of booking – as long as you notify Travel Booking Customer Support within that time period. How’s that for peace of mind?
Is it worth using Travel Booking?
For anyone who already uses the CommBank app, this new integration is refreshingly seamless. The experience feels modern and well thought-out – from predictive pricing to automatic travel credits. The ability to book flights, hotels, and car rentals in one place saves the hassle of juggling multiple websites or booking engines.
If you’re a CommBank Yello Plus, Gold or Diamond customer, the travel credits can add meaningful value over time. For example, a $1,000 hotel booking could return up to $100 in future travel credits if you’re a CommBank Yello Diamond member. But even for CommBank Yello Gold and Plus members, the 5% back in travel credits can add up over time.
