BEGINNER’S GUIDE | Accor is one of the largest hotel chains in Australia, with many well-known brands such as Sofitel, Novotel, Pullman and more. Of course, you can earn Accor points with stays, but did you know that you’ll also earn points when you dine at one of the participating restaurants at those properties?
Regular guests can also make use of the paid Accor Plus membership in Asia-Pacific to enjoy up to 50% off their bill at many restaurants in the region – even if they’re not staying at the property.
How to earn points at Accor hotel restaurants
Earning points at restaurants located within Accor properties is easy. Whether you’re an in-house guest or not, simply present your Accor membership card before settling the bill. You’ll earn 1 Accor point per €1 spent (converted from the local currency when outside of Europe).
While most Accor hotel restaurants participate worldwide, check with staff beforehand if you’re unsure. Earned points will be credited within 7 days and appear as ‘Earn Partner’. It won’t be a considerable amount, but every point counts.

Similarly, you can also use existing points at some restaurants. You’ll get €10 off the bill for every 1,000 points used. That’s half the value you get compared to redeeming points for a hotel stay, so our advice is to save the points for a future hotel booking instead.
How to use Accor Plus discounts at hotel restaurants
Accor Plus membership is usually A$395 a year, but occasional sales go up to half price. It also comes complimentary with the American Express Platinum Card.
One of the biggest perks of Accor Plus is up to 50% off the dining bill at hotel restaurants in Asia-Pacific. Once again, you can enjoy these benefits anytime, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Here’s how the discount works for one member dining with different groups:
Member-only | 25% off |
Member + 1 guest | 50% off |
Member + 2 guests | 33% off |
Member + 3 guests | 25% off |
Member + 4 guests | 20% off |
Member + 9 guests or more | Minimum 10% off |
Once you go beyond two people dining, the discount is calculated by dividing 100% by the number of diners (capped at a minimum of 10%). For example, the ‘Member + 4 guests’ example has five diners, so 100% ÷ 5 = 20% off.

Participating restaurants in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji will accept multiple member cards per table (up to three) so that you can save up to 50% off the bill. Here’s an example of how the stacking works:
2 Accor Plus members and two guests (4 pax total) 3 Accor Plus members and three guests (6 pax total) | 50% dining discount |
2 Accor Plus members and four guests (6 pax total) | 33% dining discount |
1 Accor Plus member and three guests (4 pax total) | 25% dining discount |
As before, present your Accor Plus membership card when settling the bill. The system will calculate the discount automatically. You’ll also automatically earn points on the transaction where eligible. Note that some restaurants are excluded from Accor Plus dining discounts.
A slight correction with the stacking examples though … If you have 6 pax total and 2 Accor Plus cards then you will get a discount of 33% off the bill (200% ÷ 6 = 33%). I’ve verified this myself recently by having 5 diners and 2 cards and receiving 40% off.
Also, it should be noted that the discount is applicable to the food portion of the bill only. Any drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) do not receive the discount and are charged at the stated price. The rewards points earned are based on the total bill, though.
Some of the Accor benefits and the conditions of use can be difficult to get your head around, but still provide great value if you make the most of them!
