Qantas has expanded its entertainment offering and introduced inflight meditation to give customers more ways to relax inflight.
Free Apple Music, Audible and Stan subscriptions
Qantas is giving its customers free access to more TV programs, movies, songs and digital audiobooks both inflight and on the ground.
Customers travelling across the entire Qantas network can download content before their flight via the Qantas App or stream it inflight on selected domestic Wi-Fi aircraft. Here are the free subscriptions that are available to passengers:
- New/existing Apple Music customers: 4 months/1 month
- New Audible customers: 1 audiobook per month for 3 months, then $16.45/month thereafter (you can cancel before this)
- New Stan customers: 3 months
The new entertainment partner offers will be available progressively from June 2018.
The best way to check out which offers are available is to download the Qantas app, enter into one of your bookings, click View Entertainment and see which ones come up—I can see the Audible offer available to me:

The Stan offer is accessed by flying on a wifi-equipped Boeing 737 or Airbus A330 aircraft, logging onto the wifi, following the Stan prompts and receiving a code.
Guided meditation
The 10-minute guided meditations are set to aerial footage of some of the most beautiful landscapes around Australia but you might want to close your eyes to focus better. Anyone can access them on YouTube.
Summing up
If you do not already have a subscription to Audible and/or Stan, then this is a good way to get a freebie, and both new and existing Apple Music subscribers can get free streaming.
