A well equipped hotel that includes restaurants, gym, club lounge and a pool.

Located in the historic centre of Berlin, this hotel provides great amenities and a comfortable stay.

While the rooms are clean and fairly spacious, the staff are friendly and there’s nothing particularly wrong with the place, there’s also nothing to get you coming back here when Melbourne’s hotel scene is pretty competitive.

Stylish design, a convenient location, great food and drink, a beautiful wellness centre, and pretty good wifi are the attractions of this hotel but my experience was let down by a couple of customer service bungles. There may be some more cost-effective options to lay your head for the night.

The Westin Wall Centre Vancouver is a perfectly serviceable, relatively new airport hotel that did the job for me during a quick stay earlier this year.

In planning this Malaysian trip, I knew I was pretty keen to see something fairly typical for Malaysia – a resort, on an island, with some nice beaches. The Westin Resort in Langkawi looked like it would fit the bill nicely.
