The top Velocity Point earning Credit Cards for 2026

A Velocity Point earning Credit Card with a strong credit card sign-up bonus can be the ticket to your next reward flight faster than almost anything else.

But with annual fees ranging from under $100 to nearly $500, variable earn rates, lounge perks and fee waivers, it’s not always obvious which card actually gives the best value beyond the initial bonus.

In this episode of the Point Hacks Podcast, Brandon and I compare seven Velocity-earning credit cards, ranked from highest to lowest annual fee, and clearly break down the points and perks you can unlock with each card.

How to choose a Velocity Point earning Credit Card

As I say in the podcast, this is not financial advice! Choosing the right card depends on your personal travel goals and spending habits. Here are some things to consider:

  • Annual fee vs return: A high fee only makes sense if the value you get back outweighs the cost. Look for high bonus points, perks such as lounge access and a high earn rate on everyday spend.
  • Earn rates and caps: Cards can have variable per-dollar earn rates across different spending. Look at where and how you’ll earn most points and whether any caps align with your actual spend.
  • Card perks: Many of the cards on this list come with complimentary travel insurance but always make sure to read the PDS to make sure the cover is right for you.
