Why Choose This Card

The ANZ Rewards Platinum Card is an excellent entry-level card for anyone starting their Velocity Points journey. With a low annual fee, it’s one of the most affordable ways to earn Velocity Points through everyday spending. The $50 cashback offer also helps offset roughly a third of the cost, making it even better value in the first year.

You’ll earn 1.5 ANZ Reward Points per $1 on eligible purchases, which converts to 0.75 Velocity Points per $1 at a 2:1 rate — an easy, consistent way to grow your balance without overcomplicating things.

What makes this card particularly appealing is the range of complimentary insurances rarely seen at this level. With international and domestic travel cover, rental vehicle excess cover, and purchase protection including extended warranty insurance, it provides a reassuring layer of protection for anyone getting started with Velocity Points and looking for everyday value (T&Cs, limits, applicable sub-limits, exclusions and eligibility criteria apply).
