Joining the airasia rewards program (formerly AirAsia BIG) can be a wise move if you fly frequently between Australia and Malaysia on AirAsia X, or within Asia on AirAsia.

Asia’s largest low-cost carrier is moving its double-daily flights from Tullamarine to the cheaper Avalon Airport near Geelong from 5 December, and has very cheap fares to celebrate.

AirAsia has cheap flights to the Sri Lankan capital Colombo in February and March, which is towards the end of the dry season and an ideal time to visit this booming tourist destination.

The two big low-cost carriers in Asia have discounted tickets to Southeast Asia (and Honolulu with Jetstar) from right now through to April next year.
