ANZ are offering 25,000 bonus Qantas Points for new applicants of the ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa who spend a minimum of $1,500 within the first three months of approval.

There are also offers of 120,000 bonus Qantas Points and $150 back with the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black and 75,000 bonus Qantas Points and $75 back with the ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum.

The standard ANZ Qantas Frequent Flyer Visa has a reasonable $95 annual fee, with an earn rate of 0.5 Qantas Point per $1 spent on eligible purchases up to $500 per statement period, and 0.25 Qantas Point per $1 thereafter, uncapped.

There are minimal additional other benefits that come with this card, but for the $95 annual fee, that’s not too surprising.

Summing up

The Classic card has a low barrier to entry, both in terms of income and with the lower ongoing annual fee. However, the cap on spend may be limiting for significant ongoing use.
