Summing up
Need a reminder on how to access these American Express deals and promotions? Read our dedicated guide to taking advantage of Amex Offers. For cashback offers, be sure to save the offers to your card before doing the transaction, and check the T&Cs for each deal to make sure you don’t do anything that would make the transaction ineligible.
For bonus transfer offers, head to the Membership Rewards transfer page and log in to your account to ensure the correct bonus is showing for you. Some bonuses are tiered or targeted to specific cardholders, so it’s worth checking the fine print. Bonus offers will show up in the description but not on the calculator.

How do I even log in to the Experiences App. All I see is some fields to add contact info but when I save my info there – it just disappears once I leave and return
It seems like credit card offers have become much worse since COVID. Most of the cards carry enormous fees now and require much higher spending. I’m really surprised that people are still signing up.
Its difficult to reconcile the advice here about not transferring unless you have a redemption in mind, as the bonus can take up to 45 days after the end of the offer to get credited. By then any reward seat you had in mind will be gone.
I have a similar query re availability of reward seats. I generally book 355 days in advance in SIA ( typically to Europe from Bne ) and have had good success. The reduced points required is attractive, but if only a few reward seats are avail , little point.

Thanks for the useful article. I have quite a few AMEX points sitting in American Express, normally when these bonuses come up, I transfer some across to Velocity to pick up the bonus as I know i will use them for all my domestic travel. I generally prefer to keep the points in AMEX until needed then move the relevant partner airline for business class travel when I’m ready to book. I noticed the 50% on Marriot Bonvoy basically means a 1:1 transfer but there is no value in moving them to MB, then to Velocity or similar. Is there value in holding MB for other reasons and will they expire if not used?
worth mentioning that AA is now 60,000 marriot = 20,000 AA rather than 25,000. United is now 60,000 = 30,000 United which changes the value proposition somewhat
Hi Steven, to the best of our knowledge, the current batch of offers are the same for most Card Members with the possible exception of supplementary cardholders. However, we can’t control how Amex distributes these offers and occasionally certain deals may be targeted. In the past, Amex also provided manual enrolment links where any cardholder could enrol into an offer even if not targeted, but this doesn’t appear to be possible anymore. We highlight the best ones related to travel so as many people as possible can use them.

When do you expect the next 50% bonus on Marriot Bonvoy points. The last one was in August 2023 and the previous one May 2023.

Thanks – very useful article – the bonus to Marriott Bonvoy had escaped my notice and could be very handy.
Little more than clickbait. Expect better of you guys.
