The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth hotel is back in action after a significant revamp. With its 436 rooms and suites refreshed and ready to go, it signals fresh optimism as domestic and international travel gets back on its feet.

Attached to the Accor Live Limitless (ALL) program, travellers can earn and spend points, and enjoy their usual perks.

The entire Sofitel Sydney Wentworth team is thrilled and excited to be welcoming guests back into our beautiful hotel, especially at a time when Australia’s borders have reopened.

We now have some wonderful changes to showcase as we welcome guests back and we can’t wait to have travellers re-discover our award-winning hotel

Peek inside the updated Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

As a hotel with a long history in Sydney, the Sofitel Wentworth’s renovations help keep the property feeling fresh.

Recent updates include tweaks to the soft furnishings in each room. New Sofitel MyBed mattresses have also been rolled out for a more comfortable night’s sleep, aside brand new linens and pillows.

As a treat until the end of April, guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of Champagne at 5:30 pm each day. That’s when a Sofitel Ambassador will perform a signature ‘Candle Ritual’ ceremony in the lobby. (Hey, if it comes with a glass of bubbles…)

On the food front, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth’s venues are making a staged return.

High Tea is back, as is Soiree Bistro & Bar. The hotel’s Club Sofitel Lounge opens from 1 pm each day, while the property’s Garden Restaurant reopens in May.

Bonus points for Accor Live Limitless members

To celebrate the return of one of Accor’s flagship Sydney properties, there’s a bonus in store for members of ALL. Book direct between 28 March and 15 May for stays until 3 July, and you’ll fetch quadruple base ALL points.

For example, ALL members normally earn 25 base points per €10 (~AU$14.67) spent at Sofitel. On a $500 hotel bill, that’s around 852 ALL points on a regular day. But with the quadruple points booster, that jumps to 3,408 ALL points.

Members with elite status earn even more, with their usual serve of tier bonus points delivered on top. On the same $500 bill at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, here’s how many extra ALL points members of each tier would take home:

  • Silver: 204 points
  • Gold: 408 points
  • Platinum and above: 646 points

This means a Platinum, Diamond or Black member spending $500 would earn a tad over 4,000 ALL points. That’s enough for an €80 (AU$117) discount on a future stay with Accor. In dollar terms, that’s over 23% back in rewards!

Summing up

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is back, and with a great points promotion for ALL members. With ALL points tied to the cash rates at each hotel, it’s usually difficult to get outsized value from the program. But with quadruple points and a potential status bonus on top, it’s a compelling proposition for those travelling until July.

Of course, it’s also great to see Sofitel’s refreshed rooms. Until now, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth could fairly be described as ‘aged’. But with updated rooms, its approach to classical luxury ditches that descriptor, returning it as a hotel of choice for many.
