As I wrote last week, I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to book a Hawaiian Airlines redemption using Velocity points for several weeks now, with Velocity points sitting in my account with no home to go to.

I had emailed Velocity customer service and received nothing but canned replies to my very specific emails – thanks for nothing there, but the Velocity rep over at Australian Frequent Flyer responded to my message, notifying me that thankfully around noon yesterday Velocity finally fixed up the problem.

I called them immediately and was (according to the agent) the first person to book since the problem was fixed – I now have the last leg of a large trip to the US booked, which without this flight was threatening to cost a few thousand dollars to get us home.

I had a feeling this problem was going to go on for ages, so well done to Velocity for fixing it up and allowing us to get back from Honolulu next year!
