Brisbane will soon make space for another ‘upscale and affordable’ hotel, with a new Hilton set to make its debut in the CBD’s north. Perched on McConnell Street in the vibrant suburb of Spring Hill, the Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North – yes, quite a handful – will mark the chain’s fifth property in Queensland.

Haven’t heard of Garden Inn before? It’s a relatively new mid-scale Hilton brand in Australia. Garden Inn’s first foray was in the touristy town of Albany, Western Australia, which opened in late 2021. Coming up is one in Sydney Kingswood in 2023, followed by Brisbane City Centre North in 2024.

Details of the Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane

Located some 13 kilometres from the airport, the Brisbane Hilton Garden Inn is walking distance from many city-centre attractions, as well as all the action in Fortitude Valley.

Designed by Hayes Anderson Lynch Architects, the 129-guestroom hotel will boast a full-service restaurant and bar. Guests can make use of a meeting facilities and a fitness room, though we don’t expect there’ll be a lounge. For late-night munchies, a signature feature of Garden Inn is ‘The Shop’ – a 24-hour grab-and-go store.

Construction of the brand-new property is expected to start this year under the helm of Spring Hill Property Group. Brisbane’s Hilton Garden Inn joins 28 current and 12 upcoming Hilton properties throughout Australasia.

Summing up

Hilton is continuously expanding its presence in Australia, which is great news for Hilton Honors members. Hilton Gold and Diamond status is quite valuable as it packs upgrades and complimentary breakfast into the mix. Having more hotels in Australia means it’ll be easier to earn your perks on business trips and staycations in Brisbane.
