Hilton Hotels now allows you to pre-select your room using Google Maps, taking into account nearby landmarks, parks and roads.

You can choose whether to stay in a room next to a freeway or a restaurant wall, or to have a clear view of the Eiffel Tower. If you are an early bird, you can choose an east-facing room, or the opposite if you fancy a sleep-in.

Hilton will also save your room selection and take it into account for any subsequent stays.
