If you change shoes often as a runner – or have kids who don’t seem to stop growing – then there’s a silver lining in store. Qantas Frequent Flyer members can ramp up their points game thanks to a new in-store partnership with 15 shoewear and apparel retailers. You’ll be able to pocket 2 Qantas Points per dollar spent by scanning your membership card at the checkout.

Qantas also tells us members will also be able to use points in-store and online from mid-2024 – though we’d easily wager that the ‘points plus pay’ rates will remain well under the value you’d get from using points on reward seats.

As part of the deal with Accent Group, you can now earn points at the following associated brands:

The Athlete’s Foot
Platypus
Skechers
Hype DC
UGG
Dr Martens
Subtype
Stylerunner
Cans
CAT
The Trybe
Timberland
Merrell
Hoka
Saucony

Olivia Wirth, Qantas Loyalty CEO, says that this new partnership will open up opportunities for members to earn more points at hundreds of retail stores across Australia.

Members have told us that they value being rewarded for their everyday spend and using Qantas Points to save cash when shopping, and we’ve seen this in the success of our other partnerships.

Expanding the retail options for our members to earn and use Qantas Points is one of the ways that we can offer more value, particularly when consumers are more conscious of their spending.

– Olivia Wirth, Qantas Loyalty CEO, 30 November 2023

Qantas Frequent Flyers’ push for more in-store partners comes as Singapore Airlines’ lifestyle app, Kris+, recently launched in Sydney and Melbourne. KrisFlyer members can earn miles in-store at selected retailers by paying through the Kris+ app.
