This is a bit of an announcement and blog housekeeping post, no notable deals or offers.

However, it’s worth a read if you want to know how to keep on top of currently active points offers to ensure you don’t miss out.

There’s also some details on a planned Brisbane Meetup in a couple of weeks. For anyone in BNE on Wednesday 13th, you should come along!

New feature: the Active Deals section will help ensure you don’t miss out on an offer

I try to only write up the most relevant and best deals and news for Australian points hunters, and I’ve had a hankering to order these deals and offers in a way that makes it easy to see which deals are live now, and which will be ending soonest. You’ll now find a view of the content ordered that way over at the Active Deals section.

Any deal I post up that has a defined end date (and the best ones that don’t) will surface on this page, and they are ordered with the deals ending soonest, first.

There are also groupings of Earning, Buying and Using points offers as well. Check out the Best Active Frequent Flyer Deals section →

Next up: the first Brisbane Meetup is happening in a couple of weeks!

Steve of iFlyflat and myself have run a couple of Meetups in Sydney, and another in Melbourne with one to come.

Now there’s a Meetup for Brisbane in the calendar for a couple of weeks time – on the evening of Wednesday 13th. Steve and I are both flying up from Sydney for this one, so if you’re in or near Brisbane and want to hang out and talk miles and points for a while, please come by.

The Brisbane Meetup is 100% free (you just pay your own drinks), but numbers are limited to around 20-25 to keep it manageable, so register here to ensure you don’t miss out.

If you can’t make this one or are interested in the Sydney and Melbourne Meetups, you can join the other groups and keep up to date on the next round of dates over in the linked Meetup groups above.

New feature: Ask a question from anywhere on the site

I’ve also reworked and simplified the feedback functionality on the site. Down the bottom right hand corner of every page there’s a ‘?’ button that looks like this:

Ask

What does this do? Simply, it’s a direct line to my inbox, where if you have a question you want answered about points, I’ll try and do my best to help. If it’s something others might also benefit from, I’d also point you toward the Community Questions section to post it there.

It’s always good to hear your feedback and questions, so do use it. I’ve had something like this in place for a while, but this is a new system that’s easier to manage and use for all concerned.

Finally, for the committed readers out there (if you got this far, you are definitely one!), a massive thanks – I’m going to be spending a lot more time on the site in coming months as I’ll be spending less time on my day job in order to focus on Point Hacks.

Expect content frequency to increase a bit along with the addition of a few more features and tools for better earning or using your points.

Thanks so much for your support!
