Anyone have any advice on the best card to maximise points from our business spend?

Hi all,

We have a small family run business and currently use 2 personal cards:

  1. Amex Platinum Edge for 3 x points per $ on weekly groceries mainly, plus some Australia Post purchases but only at 0.5 x points per $… and for transfers to airline partners. We like this card because the annual fee is pretty much covered by the travel credit.

  2. Citibank Signature Rewards for 1 point per spend on most items, which we use when the Amex surcharge is too high (e.g. ATO payments). We like this card because we signed up on a promotion that sees no card fee for life.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how we can maximise our points, even after taking into consideration the larger card fees that might come with a newly suggested card other than above?

Are largest three purchases are:

$35k with overseas suppliers
$14k on Australia Post purchases
$35-40k with the ATO with BAS and PAYG

Cheers for any suggestions!

Citi won’t give you any points for ATO so it’s a waste.
