Can I upgrade Qantas flights booked with Amex credit with Qantas points?

Hi
I have a query re the Amex $450 flight credit. Once flights are booked through Amex can I then use qantas points to upgrade these from economy to business?

Once you have booked the flights, go to the Qantas website and then ‘manage my bookings’. If upgrades are available, there will be an ‘upgrade’ tab.
