How is Virgin Atlantic's relationship with Virgin Australia?

I notice flights Sydney to London by Virgin Atlantic with the Sydney to Hong Kong sector provided by Cathay Pacific. Seems strange as Virgin Australia now have flights to HK. Any thoughts ?

Hi Colbun,

I can’t seem to find the said flights above on Virgin Atlantic website.

For what’s its worth, Virgin Atlantic is still owned by Virgin Group (Richard Branson and c0.). Virgin Group only holds 8% of Virgin Australia.

  • Hi guys

Va only flies va metal out of Melbourne to hkg hence the Cathay code share

  • Interesting eh. I see what you mean on webjet. I can’t seem to find any codeshare or partner agreement between the 2.
