Best ways to redeem Qantas points for Sydney to Santiago return?

Does anyone know the best way to use Qantas frequent flyer points for a return trip from Sydney to Santiago Chile, in March 2018. Thanks KK

Not sure what you mean by “best way”. You have 2 options : one direct with Qantas or 2 via Auckland with LATAM.

I suspect Qantas seats are harder to find

Thank you for your reply. On both options the fees and charges seem excessive. We are flying premium economy. We have the option to pay the fees and charges with cash or points. Is using points to pay for fees and charges a ‘smart’ way of using points, meaning value for money. Cheers KK
