Qantas Gold Status - how to upgrade to business class on China Eastern Airline flight from Singapore to Shanghai?

Im flying Perth Shanghai return with Qantas via Shanghai. Upgraded for the Perth to Singapore leg but cant upgrade on the Singapore to Shanghai leg as flight is with China Eastern.

Any tips or suggestions to get business from Singapore to Shanghai return??

You won’t be able to. Not a oneworld member so can’t do oneworld points upgrade.

Even if they are one world you can never use Qantas points to upgrade a flight operated on another airline even with a QF number
