We (family of four) are planning a trip to Bangladesh from Perth at the end of this year.
Based on KF’s 23 March 2017 award chart, am I right in interpreting that we will need a total of 154,000 KF (PER-SIN-DAC) for a one-way Singapore Air economy flight?
I have 120,000 MRG and 60,000 VFF and thinking of converting those to KrisFlyer (=134,430 KF?) and go with pay+point option.
Is it a good option or better options are out there with Enrich/others?
The way you use the KF chart is just Zone 8 (Perth) to Zone 6 Bangladesh = 30k one way in economy for 1 person.
Go for Economy Saver (go for Saver fares in general). Standard award fare cost a lot more. There may be availability in economy for four. Best to check on Singapore Airlines website before transferring. Otherwise, you may have to travel in parties of 2. 1 parent + 1 child x 2 different flights.
Or you could consider using Asia Miles. It seem to costs 45k Asia Miles return economy.
Regardless, you may be short of points to cover all 4 person return. So I might suggest you redeem what you can with points and pay for the rest in cash.
