Are there any one world or Star or sky alliance status match offers going on?

I am a velocity platinum member. Called Qantas (had to chase them up) and as usual they proposed a challenge 200Sc for gold and 400 platinum in 3 months. If i get the 200 SC from qantas I wont enjoy the 4 free business upgrades from VA as I may be moving short term to UK. Honestly i prefer VA over qantas but qantas is part of the one world alliance.

If I’m not mistaken, status match means you still get to keep you VF Platinum status until it expires?

I am personally not aware of any status match promo atm.

Check out statusmatch.com and search through the oneworld members and see whether there is an easier status match from VF.
