I’ve read about the consolidation of SPG and Marriott Rewards programs later in the year, and I’ve been earning SPG points through credit card spend via Amex. My understanding is we would no longer be earning SPG points once the programs are merged - what ways (if any) would I be able to earn Marriott Rewards points other than stays? Do any credit card reward programs offer it?
AmEx Australia haven’t yet said how things will work come August, but I have a feeling they will retain some mechanism through which cardholders will be able to earn Marriott Points, directly or indirectly.
To my knowledge, there are no cards that directly earn Marriott points in Australia.
