I am wondering whether it is better to turn off family pooling once you have achieved (and can maintain independently) Platinum status with Velocity? If I turn it off now my wife can achieve status in addition to me. I feel there is probably a benefit for her to do this. What do you think?
Sounds good to me. There is no restrictions on how often you turn pooling off and on.
With your platinum if you were to get 500 status credits or 1000 over your own platinum you can gift the gold and platinum status to your wife which is essentially the same thing.
However i guess if you stop pooling there may be that window of time when your wife is silver to gold where she would get the additional silver bonus points.
