Using Asia Miles to get from Perth to Japan via Melbourne - how many miles and how much in taxes?

Hi,

Just would like to see if anybody has experienced in booking flight from Perth to Japan with Asian miles. I am looking to book flight in April 2018 and I have found a few business class seats from BA site. I just want to check if I am understanding correctly that I can book Qantas business class to Melbourne and then Japan airline Business class from Melbourne to Japan with 80,000 Asian miles points (4001-7500 miles) (oneworld Multi-Carrier Awards chart). Please advise if this is correct and anybody know roughly how much are the tax and other charges?

Yes, after looking up the Asia Miles oneworld chart, I believe it is 80k return for PER-MEL-NRT.

You will have to ring Asia Miles to find out about the exact tax amount. To get an estimation, you could use Google Matrix to search for the approximate taxes.
