Is it still possible to transfer Amex MR points to SPG/Marriott points post merger?

Hi Point Hacks

Just wondering if you could enquire via your contacts at Amex and Marriott/SPG on the future of Amex point transfers to the SPG/Marriott program post merger.

I’d be very disappointed if the ability to transfer from Amex to the new program was removed. A devaluation would also be a concern.

Hi jamesh,

A group of my friends (pointhackers) are also very curious to know this. However, I have my personal doubts of whether Amex would introduce Marriott as a transfer partner. I personally hope this would happen, of course.
