St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA are offering 50,000 bonus Qantas or Amplify Points for new cardholders of the Amplify Platinum Visa until 23 January 2019, with a minimum spend requirement of $2,000 within the first 90 days of approval to receive to the bonus points.

There is also $0 annual card fee for the first year on the Amplify Rewards variant, however you will have to pay $99 for the Qantas Rewards variant.

The Amplify Platinum card offers an effective points earn rate of 0.5 frequent flyer points per dollar in most of the linked frequent flyer programs to Amplify Rewards, which for an ongoing $99 annual fee card, is respectable. The strength of Amplify Rewards is the programs links to multiple rewards partners, offering flexibility in how you redeem your points.
