What happens to old Velocity status credits when you gain a tier?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I’m about to tick over from Red to Silver on VA (tiny little woo), and want to know what happens to my older status credits.

As they age and drop off, will that drop me back to Red?

Or does my status credit level “lock in” when I tick over, giving me another 12 months from that point to add the next 250 I need to hit Gold?

In good news - you don’t lose them. They just sit there propping up your balance until the next tier. They will disappear once your status year rolls over, and your status renewal date is an immovable object, so you will have between now and then to aim to hit Gold.
