Flying Brisbane to Singapore with Virgin Australia/Singapore Airlines. How does status credit work in this situation?

If I flew from Brisbane to Singapore as a velocity member, will I automatically accumulate krisflyer and oneworld alliance status credits?

It entirely depends on the Frequent Flyer number associated with your booking. Sounds like you’ve used your Velocity number so it will be Virgin(Velocity) status credits.

Not quite sure what you mean wrt  Oneworld.  That’s the QF,BA, etc alliance. Nothing to do with Virgin or Singapore.  Singapore are part of the Star Alliance but these alliances don’t have status credits themselves, just the airlines (AFAIK)

Hi,

Just to add, you can choose to credit your revenue (paid) flight to any (or most) partners of the airline you flown with.

E.g. if you have flown with Singapore Airlines, you could credit to your Virgin Australia, Krisflyer or other Star Alliance airlines.

E.g. if you have flown with Virgin Airlines, you could credit to your Virgin Australia, Krisflyer or other Virgin Australia partner airlines.
