Can I book non Singapore Airlines/Silk Air flights with Krisflyer miles?

Hello,

in one of the old articles on ausbt it mentions that you can book AirNZ flights:

From Australia to New Zealand or Fiji, a mere 17,500 KrisFlyer miles could take you there in business class on Air New Zealand

Obviously this article is old and the worst part is it doesn’t tell you HOW. The most that I could find is the comment section there:

"“KrisFlyer reward bookings on Singapore Airlines’ web of airline partners, such as Virgin Australia and Air Canada, can’t be made online: instead charged at the full published rate and secured via the contact centre.”

Within Australia you can call 02 8228 1188, open 24/7."

Which I found it quite vague.

If such thing exists:

  1. Where can I find the list of the airlines?
  2. Where can I find the “published rates”?
  3. How can I check the availability?

You can use Krisflyer miles on most (if not all) Star Alliance airlines because Singapore Airlines is a member of the alliance. In addition, Singapore Airlines has partner airlines outside of the Alliance. Some of these may be able to be redeemed. These are laid out on the website above.

  2. You can search availabilities using an Air Canada or ANA airline frequent flyer account.
