Is it possible to have more than 24hrs stopover in Asia for flight redemptions using Qantas Frequent Flyer or KrisFlyer Miles?

Hi,

I’m planning on booking a trip to Europe using Qantas Frequent Flyer (outbound) and Krisflyer miles (inbound). Can someone advise if Qantas (one world carriers) and Krisflyer allow greater than 24hrs stopover in Asia on redemption flights?

Thanks in advance

FYI: you can get a stopover on a one way J redemption for USD $100.

With regard to Kris Flyer the answer is yes and no.  For Business Saver redemption’s you must have booked a return flight.  One way redemption’s in Saver are not eligible for stopovers.  Full Business redemption’s are eligible for stopovers if a one way flight redemption has been booked.  I cannot speak for economy or first class.

Also, before you try to book a stopover, search the sectors individually for redemption so you know which dates/ sectors should turn up an integrated acceptance when you try to add a stopover.

You can on Krisflyer – when you go to book your redemption flight online (provided you are booking a flight that transits through singapore) – there is a box to select ‘add a stopover’.
