I have been looking return fare in J or I from Cairo to Honolulu, due to the cheaper fares originating in Cairo, as I’ll be in Germany around the time, So I wish to got to Hawaii for my 30th
British airways comes in at a ridiculous $2375aud for ‘I’ fare in return.
I looked on wheretocredit and it says I’d earn nearly 48k miles for the return trip if I was to credit to Alaska… I don’t care about oneword gold as because I have renewed before the end of statement year In August anyway so I was thinking if I credit to Alaska & do a mileage purchase 10k miles + 4K bonus for $297usd I’d end up with 60k miles, enough for 3 one way east/west coast fares on Qantas or enough for a return trip to Hong Kong (all in business)
Can anyone confirm I found this sounds right for the amount of miles I’ll earn and think it’s the best way for to credit them??

I had a quick look and it looks sound to me. If BA I fare really do credit as 250%, it looks like you do earn around 48k Alaskan miles.
Your mileage usage calc for 60k miles is also correct.

At first I checked J and it was 300%… I was like wtf I think it was 66k miles or something, then I went right through the Expedia booking and I seen was I fare booking class so I rechecked and it dropped down to 250%.
Now to be fare for $2375. Which I haven’t booked and should jump on asap. To fly all that way from Cairo-London-Seattle-Honolulu (last leg is operated by Alaska Airlines) and then back again in business class I checked seatguru which has decent aircraft. And earning 48k miles, is outrageously good value especially if I bump up to 60k points and do a return trip to HKG with Cathay or 3x one ways from Perth to Sydney/Melb/Brisbane on QF. Is icing on the cake
