So I signed up for the Westpac Altitude Black several weeks back, and looking to hit the $5k spend limit for the signup bonus. But I was wondering, once I reach the $5k and have a statement issued, is it possible to do a BT on that amount? When the balance is transferred away, does it simply appear as a payment on the Altitude Black account? Or will it invalidate the spend?
(Assuming you mean BT the balance to another card outside Westpac)
Should be OK. I’ve not done this with Westpac but other cards have hououred the spend amount (aka “New Purchases Cash Advances And Other Debits”) even when BT’d before the statement is issued.
