How to use AwardNexus to search multiple airlines?

Hi,

I have just read the article on PH about AwardNexus and have a further few questions.
Essentially I have a stack of Velocity Points and the plan is to use them for 2 Syd-Dublin or Paris Business return seats in the future.

I rang Velocity a while ago and it seems Reward seats are trickled out, so even if I call them back 330 days out there may not be anything to book. Painful really.

I have been looking at the AwardNexus site and are a bit confused. Will AwardNexus be able to search for Virgin Au, Etihad or SQ flights for me?

Do I need to set up a search each for EY and VA, seeing as it will most likely be EY all the way from Syd to Dub or Paris. I assume I can setup a SQ Syd-Eu search in AwardNexus somehow.
Does Nexus just email the results as soon as they are listed on the VA website?
