ANZ dropping Amex companion card - what's the next step?

Hi there

I wanted to know - my husbands ANZ VISA + AMEX had the AMEX dropped this month so we want to balance transfer to AMEX card either Explorer or the Qantas AMEX card

Would he qualify for the bonus points and what are the key differences for the following

Earning QQF directly
Or Earning the AMEX Reward and transferring points to Virgin Points

yes he would qualify for bonus points, as long as he has not held any amex issued card in last 18 months, bank issued cards are excluded.

you’ve actually answered your last question yourself… and Amex explorer allows transfer to multiple programs
