Has anyone come across any discounted award redemption offers on Thai?

Hi,

I want to book an award ticket in Business for my family (2 Adults an 1 infant) from BKK to BLR (India) on Thai Airways during Aug/Sep 2016 -  which is going to cost me 55,000 miles pp based on their current award chart. I have enough points in my AMEX which I was planning to transfer to Thai, but I’m not entirely sure it is good value for a 3.5hr flight.

Has anyone come across any discounted award redemption offers on Thai?I’m willing to wait a few months before booking. I googled some offers which were around June 2014 - not sure if this is a regular offer cycle period…

I haven’t been explicitly monitoring Thai redemption offers, but as you say, they do seem to be very thin on the ground - in effect, non existent.

If you have the points, I’d use the opportunity to lock in your exact preferred dates/times now instead of waiting for a discount. Doing so has value in itself.
