This offer literally arrived in my inbox from Jetstar about 30 minutes ago, and it’s one of those you just can’t ignore. The Jetstar Platinum Mastercard (issued by Macquarie Bank) is offering 30,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points for new sign ups, with no annual fee ($149 in subsequent years). You can’t get much better than that, folks. If you’re in the market for a new card with a great signup bonus, this is it.

The ongoing benefits aren’t bad too – 1:$1 Qantas points earnt on general spend and a 0% balance transfer rate for 6 months.

There’s also a lower offer of 10,000 points on the regular Jetstar Mastercard, but why bother when the Platinum is also no annual fee?

The offer expires on 31st March, and requires a minimum spend of $5,000 by 31st May to qualify for the full 30,000 points (otherwise it’s 20,000 only).
